Cookie Policy
Last updated August 30, 2026
This policy lists every cookie Snapper stores on your device. Three are strictly necessary and cannot be switched off. One more is written by Google Ads to measure whether an ad brought you here β and only after you have said yes. Until you choose, nothing is stored for advertising.
1. The cookies we set
The first three are first-party cookies, set by snapper.it.com itself, and none of them is shared with anyone. The fourth belongs to Google and appears only once you have accepted advertising cookies.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| snapper_session | Keeps you signed in. Holds a signed token identifying your user, workspace and role. HttpOnly, so JavaScript cannot read it, and marked Secure in production. | 30 days, or until you log out | Strictly necessary |
| snapper_locale | Remembers the interface language you picked, so every page renders in it from the first byte instead of flashing English first. | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| snapper_cookie_consent | Remembers the choice you made in the banner β necessary only, or advertising accepted β so it is not asked again and the advertising tag knows what it may do. | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| _gcl_au | Set by Google Ads to connect a sign-up back to the ad that brought you here. Written only after you accept advertising cookies; before that the tag runs in consent-denied mode and stores nothing. | 90 days | Advertising β consent required |
2. What we do not set
No Google Analytics, no session-recording scripts, no social widgets, no A/B testing tools and no third-party trackers beyond the Google Ads tag described above. The one thing we keep in local storage is your cookie choice itself β we do not use it to work around cookie rules.
We advertise on Google to reach people looking for a WhatsApp CRM, and the tag tells us whether an ad became a sign-up. It does not read the rest of your browsing, and if you choose "necessary only" we send Google nothing that could identify you.
3. Your choice, and how to change it
The banner has two buttons. "Necessary only" leaves the site as it was: three first-party cookies and nothing sent to Google that could identify you. "Accept advertising" lets the Google Ads tag write _gcl_au and report that a visit became a sign-up.
Before you choose, the tag loads in Google Consent Mode with advertising storage denied: it stores nothing on your device and passes no advertising identifiers. The three necessary cookies need no consent under the ePrivacy rules β without the session cookie you cannot log in, and the other two only remember choices you made yourself.
To change your mind, clear this siteβs data in your browser β that deletes the stored choice β and pick again when the banner returns.
4. Removing them
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can block them for our site entirely. Blocking snapper_session means you cannot stay logged in; blocking the other two just means the site forgets your language and shows the banner again; deleting _gcl_au only makes an ad click unattributable.
Logging out clears the session cookie immediately.
5. Server logs
Separately from cookies, our hosting provider records ordinary request data β IP address, user agent, path, timestamp and response status β to serve pages and protect the service from abuse. Those logs are not cookies, are not tied to an advertising identity, and are covered by section 3 of our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes
Any change to the table above is reflected here, and the date at the top of the page changes with it. If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary, you will be asked to consent to it before it is set.
