Data Deletion

Last updated August 30, 2026

You can delete anything you put into Snapper, up to and including the whole account, from inside the product. This page explains exactly what each kind of deletion removes, what we are obliged to keep, and how long the last copies take to disappear.

1. Deleting one thing at a time

Everything you create can be deleted where you created it, and deletion is immediate β€” there is no trash, and we cannot undo it for you.

  • Deleting a contact also deletes their conversations, every message in them and the media attached to those messages.
  • Deleting a board deletes its columns, sprints, cards, comments and activity history.
  • Deleting a card deletes its comments, activity and custom field values.
  • Disconnecting a WhatsApp number destroys the session credentials that kept it logged in, the same as logging the device out from your phone.
  • Disconnecting Google revokes and deletes the OAuth tokens we hold for that account.
  • Removing a team member deletes their user record, including their profile photo.

2. Deleting your whole account

Open Settings and choose to delete the workspace. You will be asked to confirm; once you do, the deletion runs immediately and cannot be reversed.

If you are the owner, this erases the entire workspace and everyone in it. If you are an administrator or agent, it removes you and your own record, and leaves the workspace itself to its owner.

Export anything you want to keep first β€” every board exports to CSV in one click.

3. What deleting the workspace erases

Deleting a workspace removes all of the following, in our database and in our file storage:

  • The organisation record itself, its name and its logo.
  • Every user in it: names, email addresses, password hashes, roles and profile photos.
  • All contacts, including custom field values, tags and notes.
  • All conversations and every message in them, in both directions, with their statuses and reactions.
  • All media files β€” photos, voice notes, documents β€” deleted from blob storage, not merely unlinked from the database.
  • All boards, sprints, columns, cards, comments and activity history.
  • All workflow rules and custom field definitions.
  • All connected channels, including the WhatsApp session credentials and any Google OAuth tokens.
  • All pending invitations and any unused verification or password reset tokens.

4. What we keep, and why

Two things survive a deletion, and only these two.

First, accounting records of payments you made: the invoice reference, amount, date and the legal entity that paid. Ukrainian tax law requires us to keep these for 1095 days from the end of the relevant reporting period, and no deletion request can override a legal obligation. These records contain no message content and no contact data.

Second, ordinary server logs β€” IP address, path, timestamp, response status β€” which our hosting provider retains briefly for security and abuse prevention. They are not linked to your account after it is gone.

5. Backups

Deleted data disappears from the live system at once, but it can still exist in a rolling backup for up to 30 days. We do not restore individual records from backups, and the backups age out on their own schedule; after 30 days the last copy is gone.

If we ever restore a backup after a disaster, we re-apply completed deletion requests to the restored data.

6. Asking us to delete it instead

If you would rather we did it, or you have lost access to the account, write to support@snapper.it.com from the email address on the account, or message +380 96 099 41 48 on WhatsApp. Tell us the workspace name.

We verify that the request comes from someone entitled to make it, then complete it within 30 days β€” in practice, usually the same day. We will confirm in writing when it is done, and we do not charge for it.

7. If you are a contact, not a customer

If a business is handling your conversation inside their Snapper workspace and you want your data removed, ask that business first: they control it, they decide what to keep, and they can delete you in seconds.

If they will not act, write to us at support@snapper.it.com with the business name and the number they contacted you from. We will pass the request on and, where the law requires it and they still do not act, delete the data ourselves.

8. Deleting an account does not cancel money owed

Deleting a workspace on a paid plan ends the plan too. Whether any part of the period you paid for is refundable is set out in our Refunds & Payments policy β€” deleting first does not remove your right to ask, but it is easier to sort out the money before the account is gone.
